It's no secret that Kentuckians face a housing affordability crisis. 

In Lexington, one in two renters is cost-burdened, spending more than 30% of their income on housing. One in four renters is severely cost-burdened, spending more than 50% of their income on housing. 

Franklin County faces similar challenges. The county has the fourth-largest housing supply gap in the state. One in three renters is cost-burdened.

These are more than just numbers; these are our neighbors, friends and coworkers who work hard to provide for themselves and their families but still experience the consequences of a housing affordability crisis.
