Rowland Arts Center

Through the RAC, our goal is to encourage the young people in our community to DREAM BIG and prepare them for success in their middle and high school years. Our staff invest their time and energy as mentors, seeking first to offer an environment of safety and trust, then working intentionally to have meaningful conversations with the students. Our mentors identify areas of need for the students- physical, emotional, academic, and work to develop plans and programs to help meet these needs.

Over the last year, the Rowland Arts Center has made great strides in reaching out and investing into our community. We launched a new after school mentoring program this past fall for 5th & 6th grade students and have secured funding for the next 3 years. The Rowland Arts Center's Summer Programming, which includes drop-in hours, enrichment classes, and special events every Friday kept middle and high school students engaged in a positive and safe environment throughout the summer. We average 20 students a day with our Summer Programming.

Our Project Launch employability program has successfully trained community students who have gone on to get hired at other local businesses. The RAC recently became designated as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in early 2017 and we will are working hard to invest into the community. Our staff is working diligently on providing more programming for young women, expanding our after school mentoring program to include 7th & 8th grade students, and are actively looking for business partners to bolster our Project Launch program. The RAC provides impact programming year round that is free to every student participant.
We are firm believers that the best investment you can make is in people. In our experience, that investment never returns void. Either you grow, the other person does, or most likely, both of you do. Our greatest need now and moving forward will always be folks willing to invest in the lives of our young people- that means their time above any monetary or in-kind gift. If you can give your time to the young people of our community, you are giving them not only something they desperately need, but something they crave.

Monetary donations are always welcome, gifts can be given through our website, cash via our tips jar downstairs in our coffee shop, or by check- made out to the Rowland Arts Center.

As far as in-kind donations, please email our Executive Director at
