Lighting the Way – Every Meal, Shower, and Smile Starts with You

For more than 2 decades, Lighthouse Ministries has partnered with compassionate people like you to care for neighbors experiencing hunger and homelessness in Lexington’s East End. For Bluegrass Gives, a long-time supporter of the Lighthouse is matching gifts dollar for dollar, up to $40,000, to help provide free meals, hot showers, shoes, and prayer to guests in need. Please help our non-profit, faith-based ministry continue this vital work.

This year, with your support, we have…

• Served 45,602 meals through our Dining with Dignity ministry.


• Provided more than 1,700 hot showers through our Clean Start program.


• Worked with 30+ community partners to deliver essential social and mental health services.


• Distributed 230 pairs of shoes.


• Witnessed 11,246 volunteer hours given by caring hands.


• Served as a neighborhood cooling and warming shelter during stressful weather events.

Your support makes it happen! Lighthouse Ministries receives no state or federal funding – every meal, shower, and act of kindness is possible because of generous supporters like you, along with local churches and businesses who partner with us to turn compassion into action.

• Dining with Dignity: Two seated meals a day serving donated food rescued through a local food bank and private donations.


• Clean Start: Free showers and assistance with social services.


• Michael’s Feet: Clean shoes and socks.
