At Sisters Road to Freedom, Inc., we believe that meeting basic human needs should come with compassion, dignity, and zero barriers.
Every week, we receive and distribute over 800 pounds of food to families across Lexington. But our mission extends far beyond groceries—it is about restoring peace of mind. More Than A Pantry is a community lifeline providing comprehensive essentials that keep households thriving:
- Nutritious Food & Fresh Produce: Providing fresh vegetables, fruits, and wholesome non-perishable staples so children and parents have reliable, nourishing meals.
- Essential Household & Hygiene Supplies: Supplying vital items that government assistance programs often don't cover—including personal toiletries, cleaning products, paper goods, and home supplies.
- Baby & Senior Care Necessities: Distributing diapers, wipes, baby food, formula, and specialized senior care products to protect our most vulnerable generations.
- Clothing & Seasonal Essentials: Offering free clothing, warm seasonal wear, and backpacks and school supplies to ensure children and families are prepared for every season and academic milestone.
- Dignity with Zero Red Tape: Eliminating the stressful paperwork, paycheck stubs, referrals, and utility bills that often discourage families in crisis. When a neighbor walks through our doors, they are met with open arms, respect, and immediate support.
