Exhilarating Inc.

Exhilarating Inc. is a Lexington, Kentucky-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering teens, young adults, and fathers through education, personalized coaching, hands-on programming, and access to vital community resources. Since 2015, Exhilarating Inc. has worked to prepare young people for successful adulthood by teaching practical skills that are often not taught in traditional classrooms—financial literacy, employment readiness, independent living, healthy relationships, parenting, emotional wellness, communication, self-care, and decision-making.

Our goal is simple: Help people become prepared, confident, responsible, and self-sufficient adults while strengthening families and communities.

Why Exhilarating Inc. Matters: Young people often face challenges that can dramatically affect their future—financial instability, family breakdown, homelessness, unemployment, lack of transportation, limited life skills, mental-health concerns, and difficulty navigating adulthood.

Exhilarating Inc. believes that prevention is more powerful than intervention after a crisis occurs. We meet participants where they are and provide practical tools, encouragement, coaching, education, and connections to resources that can help them move forward. Our approach is hands-on, relationship-based, and individualized. Exhilarating Inc. provides programs and services designed to address the real-life needs of youth, young adults, fathers, and families.

Our Transition into Adulthood program participants learn the skills necessary to successfully navigate adulthood. The program has received support through One Lexington violence-prevention efforts and Bluegrass Community Foundation literacy grant and has been recognized for preparing young adults for successful independence.

Our Agape Fatherhood Program, Exhilarating Inc. works with young fathers to strengthen parenting skills, healthy relationships, responsibility, and family stability. Participants receive education, hands-on activities, individualized coaching, and assistance connecting to employment, housing, and other community resources. We have received support for CCFF and has been recognized for preparing our young fathers for successful independence. 

Youth Empowerment and Enrichment, our youth programs provide opportunities for young people to develop confidence, communication skills, leadership abilities, emotional awareness, and positive decision-making, through our work readiness training and our teens tech tech program.

Our Impact: Exhilarating Inc. has been recognized by community partners and local government for its work with youth, young fathers, young adults, and families. The City of Lexington has identified Exhilarating Inc. as a grassroots organization providing safe, structured, holistic programming that promotes social and emotional development and helps participants build skills and self-confidence. Our work has also included partnerships with organizations throughout Lexington and Central Kentucky. Exhilarating Inc. envisions a community where young people have the knowledge, support, confidence, and resources necessary to successfully transition into adulthood; where fathers are equipped to positively impact their children; and where families have access to support before challenges become crises.
