Lexington Womans Club Inc

Lexington Woman's Club has been clothing Fayette County children in need since 1948.  Each year we partner with the family resource centers of local schools to clothe elementary children in need with funds and items received through donations to our Clothe-A-Child campaigns.   

"Due to the tireless efforts of the Lexington Woman's Club approximately 1200 FCPS elementary students receive a lifeline of new clothing, hats, gloves, and coats through family resource center trips sponsored annually.  Additionally, the clothing center supplements elementary students that may have barriers to travel or are absent the day of their schools visit to the "store".  

While the students wait to shop, with a Lexington Woman's Club volunteer, they are treated to a book, a toy, activities, puzzles, games, and conversation with their school friends.  It is a trip like none other, full of excitement and happiness as the students, staff, and volunteers share in the delivery of basic needs with love and dignity.  

The clothing trip is the one event circled on my calendar.  I have many people connected to Sandersville (Elementary School) who want to chaperone the students (for this trip)."--Damon Sexton, FRC Sandersville Elementary School
