Ky Foundation for Black Women and Families

Primarily supporting Lexington’s East End, we exist to uplift families, empower youth, and champion health equity for Black women across Kentucky. What began as one mother’s vision of resilience has grown into a movement that celebrates legacy and drives systemic change.  

In ten years, we’ve mentored youth, supported families with vital resources, and honored women 

changemakers who strengthen our communities. Last year’s 10th Anniversary marks a milestone—and every gift during Bluegrass Gives 2026 helps us expand programs like the Black Maternal Health Fair and provide tangible support for families.  

Together, we’re building a future where Kentucky’s families don’t just survive—they thrive.
