When misinformation runs rampant and the truth is hard to find, the Kentucky Center for Economic Policy (KyPolicy) cuts through the noise to deliver fact-based research and communications on critical public policy issues. That mission has never felt more vital.
In 2025, the small but mighty KyPolicy team has continued to push for the just, equitable and inclusive commonwealth that we strive to build. That has meant proactively working with partners to help build worker power, strengthen Kentucky’s food systems and finally give schools the resources they need to serve our kids. 

Given growing threats to prosperity from both Frankfort and Washington, we’re also fighting back. Throughout 2025, KyPolicy has stuck up for hard working families that rely on food assistance and struggle to afford skyrocketing health insurance premiums. We’ve highlighted the harms of scapegoating our immigrant neighbors and shined a light on the brutal cycle of debt and incarceration in the commonwealth.
