The Kentucky Theatre

For more than a century, The Kentucky Theatre has brought the magic of film to Lexington. You've laughed here. You've cried here. You've been on first dates here, and anniversaries, too. Through the magic of film, you've traveled around the work and journeyed into the past and into the future. You've seen films available nowhere else in Kentucky, films that entertain, films that challenge, films that educate.

Since re-opening after COVID, we've accomplished an awful lot. We became a nonprofit, started a membership program, dramatically increased the number and variety of films screened each year, and founded Lexington's first and only competitive international film festival, to name just a few of our accomplishments.

And we have even bigger plans for the future, including bringing a third screen to The Kentucky and carrying out a major renovation of The State Theatre, in time for its 100th anniversary.

But we can't do any of this without your help. Movie ticket and concessions sales only cover a portion of our operating costs, so we rely on the support of film-loving friends like you.

Please donate today, and ensure that The Kentucky Theatre remaines YOUR ticket to the best in cinema.
