Bourbon Heights Incorporated

Bourbon Heights, a 501(c)3 located in Paris, is home to 138 residents and provides skilled nursing facility, intermediate care, personal care, outpatient rehabilitation services, and independent living apartments.  Founded in 1965, Bourbon Heights believes that patients experience a sense of belonging and better quality of life when they receive care in their own community.  We believe ourselves to be the very best in providing and fostering a caring family environment for residents, their families, and team members.  

Additionally, Bourbon Heights is home to the Joseph Allen Adult Day Health Center which provides a day program for aged or disabled individuals age 21 or above.  We provide a stimulating social environment response to the needs of our clients.  Respite and support for caregivers are also services that we offer through personalized care.  This is an excellent resource for caregivers whose loved one may not be able to stay home alone during the day.  All person-centered services are under the direction of medical staff.  The Adult Day Health Center offers socialization, activities, nutritional meals and snacks, and medical services if directed by your physician.

Our non-profit status enables the organization to serve all residents regardless of ability to pay - a mission that depends on both private-pay residents, those relying on Medicaid, and charitable donations.  By 2030, Bourbon County's 65-and-older population will increase by 14%, meaning more individuals than ever before may need care in our community at a reasonable cost.  Knowing such, Bourbon Heights is looking to embark upon a future capital campaign to expand our facilities and services.  Funds raised via Bluegrass Community Foundation's Bluegrass Gives, between November 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026 will be matched dollar for dollar and shall be restricted toward needed renovations and expansions.
