Leeds Theater

Leeds Center for the Arts has been used by the community in Clark County for over 90 years. What started as a movie theater was converted to a community arts venue in the 1980s and strives to energize the community through the beauty and emotional power of the arts.

Every community needs a space to grow and create together. For nearly a century Leeds has been that place in downtown Winchester. We hope to preserve not only the structure, but more importantly the programs within. Programs that teach children confidence and give them skills to succeed. Music that brings people together. Theatre that shows us the world in a new way. Leeds is a space that reflects the hard work and creativity of the people within.
Leeds could not exist without its creative and talented volunteers. We have no paid staff and therefore most of our needs are met by the generosity of our community through donations of time and talent. We are diligent in our fundraising so that we might bring quality arts programming to the region, educational programs for children, scholarships for arts camps, all while meeting the general operating needs of the facility. Our needs continue to be many, but the most pressing one is that of a new fire safety and security system that will cost $30,000.
