Clark County Community Services was founded in 1975. CCCS provides assistance to low-income individuals and families in Clark County by providing basic needs of food, personal care items, clothing, and shelter. In 2017, CCCS distributed 15,804 food boxes to households consisting of 3,562 adults and 2,435 children. Other assistance provided in 2017 included 1,877 clothing vouchers, 482 housing vouchers and 322 utility assistance vouchers. Our organization is actively involved in the community with other non-profits and government agencies that value our long history of being the agency to help those in need when possible. If the need cannot be met by our agency, our staff is highly trained in making referrals to the appropriate source to meet the need. We serve as the central clearinghouse in the community for those individuals looking for help that cannot find it elsewhere.
Volunteers are an important part of our mission. Currently volunteers give over 1000 hours every month to CCCS Age and ability do not matter. Families, work groups, companies, church groups can volunteer no matter how large or small. Individuals are welcome as well. Volunteers do not need an appointment, but if a large group is coming please speak to Debbie to ensure we are ready for your group (group sizes have ranged from 4-50).
