Bluegrass Heritage Museum

The Bluegrass Heritage Museum brings the history of the area to life by collecting, preserving, interpreting, and exhibiting objects valuable to the history of Winchester, Clark County, and the region. We offer three floors filled with continually evolving galleries focusing on agriculture, Civil War and other military history, instrument-maker Homer Ledford and more.

We serve as a cultural and educational center for the area. Our award-winning Second Thursday Program offers free lectures on topics rich in Kentucky history. Countless school children participate in activities geared to classroom curriculum, giving them a hands-on experience with the past. We are also the home of the Clark County Historical Society.
