The sale of Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial license plates is the main source of revenue for the foundation. There are over 15,000 Kentucky residents who have purchased and displayed the "Fallen Officer Plate". The funds for these sales enables the Foundation to continue its work supporting Kentucky's law enforcement officers and families. Along with the funds from license plate sales, the Foundation and its supporters conduct fund raising events that raise additional funds for these efforts. Since its creation the Foundation has awarded over $600,000 to benefit Kentucky law enforcement officers, survivors and families.
The Kentucky Law Enforcement Memorial Foundation receives volunteer support from employees of the Department of Criminal Justice Training where the memorial site and office is located. The foundation has not received in-kind donations up to this point in time.
