Nurturing lives harmed by intimate partner abuse. Crisis intervention, support groups, legal advocacy, emergency shelter, economic justice, housing assistance, safe exchange and visitation. We do these things 24-hours a day because everyone has the right to healthy relationships. And we believe you want to live in a community that supports survivors.

Survivors of intimate partner abuse heal on the beautiful 40-acre property and farm that surrounds our emergency shelter. They grow stronger in the sun and fresh air while growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Eating field-to-table food improves physical health after abuse. And adult survivors may help on the farm in exchange for a small stipend and workplace training. We also offer other out-of-the-box activities like sewing circles, book clubs, and yoga to stretch body and mind. We are proud to be the recipient of several national, state, and local awards for the unique approach to our mission:

+ Mary Byron Project, Celebrating Solutions Award
+ Kentucky Nonprofit Network, Innovative Nonprofit Award
+ Center for Nonprofit Excellence, Pyramid Award for Social Innovation
+ Partnership for Freedom, Reimagine Opportunity National Finalist
+ Kentucky Housing Corporation, Innovation: Homelessness Award
+ LFUCG Environmental Commission Award

Serving 17 counties in central Kentucky: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Estill, Fayette, Franklin, Garrard, Harrison, Jessamine, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, Nicholas, Powell, Scott, and Woodford County.
We welcome volunteer groups and service day projects on our farm. And seek ambassadors committed to sharing the mission at places of work, faith, and community. Donations of twin-size comforter sets, underwear, socks, coffee, and household paper products are always needed.
