Baby Health Service, Inc.

Baby Health Service has been caring for children in Central Kentucky since 1914! We provide free preventative and primary healthcare to uninsured children. We work with families from near and far to get children into school and to support them in staying there by providing physicals, sick visits, and vaccinations. We also support children's mental well-being, dental health, and dietary educational needs. It has been our honor to care for children for over a century.

Providing for the well-being of children has long been a passion for the volunteer physicians and all-volunteer board members at Baby Health Service. We focus on meeting the needs of families with children in Central Kentucky. Healthy children are productive children. Our goal is to help make sure that children get the healthcare that they need to be successful in school and in life. Our team of nurses and Nurse Practitioners provide the compassion and medical guidance that families need when they arrive in our clinic, from right here in Kentucky and from the far reaches of the globe. We see any child without medical insurance. Life circumstances can often challenge many families, but we don't want them to ever worry about their children getting quality medical care and evaluations. We coordinate with area specialists for more advanced medical needs, and for dental care and mental health as needed.
The children that we serve are always in need of new coats when the temperatures drop. New backpacks at the beginning of the school year. Teenage hygiene supply kits that include deodorant, tampons, pads, and hairbrushes. New Car seats and Booster seats. You can donate these items at the clinic M-F from 7:30AM-12:00PM.

Every year, we open up about 10-20 spots on our all-volunteer working board. Our board members work at least 12 2-hour shifts at our clinic annually - greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and assisting the medical staff as needed. The board is also responsible for the financial needs of the clinic. We are always looking for help with grant writing and fund drives.
