Bluegrass Parkinson's Alliance

Known as the Bluegrass Parkinson’s Alliance (BPA) since October of 2020, BPA aims to create a community of hope and encouragement by providing educational resources and support services to those affected by Parkinson’s Disease. BPA still hosts support groups twice a month, but is much more than that. We are an alliance of those with Parkinson’s Disease, their care partners, the medical community, generous sponsors, and countless volunteers. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, BPA relies on the financial support from donor to sustain programming that is completely free to those with Parkinson's disease and their care partners.  

BPA continues to have a full calendar of exercise and therapy classes that provide targeted benefits to people with Parkinson’s Disease. All classes are offered free of charge as we realize PD can often cause early retirement or a need to cut back on working hours. Furthermore, the medical care and medication costs are quite high for someone with Parkinson’s Disease. BPA also offers monthly Speaker Meetings and annual events like our Gathering for the Good symposium and Care Partners Retreat. Again, all of this programming is possible because of donors like you!
