LASC offers over 500 creative and inspiring classes, camps, workshops, field trips, interactive exhibits and family programs that are taught by education professionals and experts in their field. If you can't come to us, we travel to 35 Kentucky counties with interactive art and science experiences called WOW: Wonders on Wheels. We serve hundreds of students yearly with Art and our award-winning Science Explorers after school programs in under served schools. LASC offers FREE and low cost cultural and educational opportunities like Day of the Dead Festival, Family Fun Day, and monthly Discovery Night and Saturday programs.
The Living Arts & Science Center would not be able to provide this vast offering of educational programming without the generosity of our stellar volunteers, interns and board members. We have multiple volunteer opportunities in every area from marketing, administrative and event support, to teaching assistants, feeding our resident animals, gardening and grounds care. LASC has ongoing needs for office and paper supplies, office furniture, art supplies, and a variety of services such as printing, vehicle maintenance, handy-person assistance, and more. Please go to lasclex.org for a full listing of volunteer opportunities and in-kind needs.
