Our 2026/27 Season of Joy celebrates humanity's remarkable and resolute pursuit of happiness. No matter if that cheer comes from simple indulgences like cucumber sandwiches, the comfort of friends through good times and bad, blissful moments that just make you want to dance, or sharing kindness with others, we see time and time again, that joy is contagious. 

And while our season shares moments of merriment on stage, it is the work and community off stage that make Woodford Theatre special. Through the learning, creating, and gathering that takes place all year long, we bring the community together for art that sparks wonder and vibrancy.

About Woodford Theatre

Founded in 1988, Woodford Theatre is a community theatre located in Versailles, Kentucky with a mission to produce the highest quality live theatre possible to educate and inspire the Bluegrass. Ever since our doors opened, we have worked to cultivate an appreciation of live theatre for our audiences and artists. 

Every year, we produce a Mainstage season of five productions, with opportunities for all ages and backgrounds, and an education season of three to four productions with opportunities for young actors. Throughout the year, we offer educational opportunities through classes, camps, and our Woodford Theatre Young Artists program.
