On Friday, August 28, every online donation helps us compete for bonus prizes, matching opportunities, and greater visibility, so even a $5 gift can go further for the boys we serve.

Since 2005, the Black Male Working Academy (BMWA) has been showing Black boys in Lexington what’s possible.

What started with 40 boys has grown into a movement that now serves 400+ boys in grades K-12 through mentorship, academic support, leadership development, college and career exposure, and life-changing enrichment.

But what makes BMWA different is this: our boys don’t just hear about success... they see it.

Every Saturday, scholars gather for Power Story, where Black men from the community share their journeys, careers, setbacks, and lessons learned. Those moments help our boys see new possibilities for their own lives.

At BMWA, a young man can:

• meet mentors who look like him
• visit a college campus for the first time
• prepare for ACT and postsecondary success
• build confidence, discipline, and leadership
• be surrounded by a village that expects him to win, and
• travel the world
