St. Agatha Academy

Inspired learning experiences begin with a strong academic curriculum which provides knowledge and confidence.  Personal growth is cultivated so that each student of the learning community has opportunites to reach their greatest potential.   Ultimately, we guide our students to have the self-discipline and conviction to become leaders who will make the world a better place.

The annual Goodgiving campaign has supported our new classical education program, Montessori preschool and kindergarten program, "Great-Books" series for our library, student activities, and professional development opportunities for our faculty.  We are proud that the annual GoodGiving campaign for the Academy is comprised of gifts from alumni, parishioners, and friends who are committed to assisting the Academy fulfill its mission of both academic and faith formation.  The annual GoodGiving campaign is focused on providing the resources necessary to enable the Academy to provide the best education throughout east-central Kentucky.  It is a crucial source of revenue which helps us meet our most pressing needs throughout the year.

Founded in 1919 by the Sisters of Divine Providence, St. Agatha Academy is the oldest private school in Winchester, Ky.  Over the years, St. Agatha Academy has been a boarding school, grade school, and high school.  We currently enroll 150 students from preschool & kindergarten Montessori through eighth grade.  

Across many decades and roles, the Academy has continued to prosper, holding true to its founding mission of providing spiritual and academic training to nurture the whole child.  Parents with an interest and passion for quality education based on the liberal arts will find a supportive and welcoming community committed to inspired classical learning.
