Life is about going places - shopping, visiting friends, trips to the doctor - but as we get older, going places gets harder. Everything from walking up stairs to operating an automobile grows more complicated with age. We might turn to friends, neighbors, and family members for help, but once we decide to stop driving, it's easy to find ourselves stranded. Life outside the driver's seat can carry a heavy toll. No one should be trapped because they stop driving. iTNBluegrass is dedicated to senior mobility and adults with visual impairments. We ensure that outliving the ability to drive safely doesn't lead to isolation - because life is about going places at any age!

The mission of iTNBluegrass is to provide safe, dignified, door-to-door and arm-through-arm, affordable automobile transportation services, seven days a week, 365 days a year, in Fayette and northern Jessamine Counties to anyone aged 60 or older and any adult with a vision impairment.

One of our riders said, "I don't know what I would do without you; each ride is a gift!" Our rides mean so much more to our members than a safe and dignified method of transportation. For many, they are a lifeline of social contact and an antidote to loneliness and despair.

Last year, iTNBluegrass provided 8,337 local rides to medical facilities, grocery stores, beauty shops, and other places. We also delivered approximately 2,700 meals to three community centers and awarded 40 scholarships to low-income and under-served riders. As a small nonprofit, we rely on donations and value the support of those who believe in this mission.
